not really so much about the Vietnam war
11 July 2011 | by Ahp-ChagiSee all my reviews

This is a brief narration of war photojournalism with the Vietnam war as a backdrop. This is a story that could have been placed into any battle of any theater in any war. It's not a story of the Vietnam war. It's really a story of one courageous Vietnamese photographer. As the title suggests we see war images from the north's side but the elements these photos present are not explored. What is explored, as much as 50+ minutes will allow, is the outrageous risk and devastating horror a war photojournalist is repeatedly exposed to just to get the shot. Imagine armed only with a camera throwing yourself into the firing line just to get a closeup of an advancing enemy soldier from 2 feet away because you don't have a telephoto lens.
